2023

Speakers

David Mulroney

Keynote Speaker

Mr Mulroney is former Ambassador to China, former President of University of St Michael's College, and Catherine Pawluch's predecessor as representative of the Archdiocese on CHSO, as well as a member of the Institute's board of Governors.  Mr Mulroney will speak of challenges faced by society, particularly by those seeking to live in a spirit of truth and charity and will touch upon the importance, in a civic organization, of hiring individuals of a compatible frame of mind, and staying faithfully focused on mission grounded in truth.

Dr Connie Price

Keynote Speaker

Dr Price is co-Director of the Office of Formation for the Archdiocese of Toronto.  Dr. Price will speak on the framework for social participation set out in the Catechism.

Peter Stockland

Evening Speaker

Peter will be speaking to the important role of news media in maintaining truthful and charitable social conditions, and ways in which our Church can joyfully, faithfully, and charitably respond. A key topic will be the Canadian Catholic News service, which is intended to cover all news relevant to society, not just what's happening internally and at the parish down the street, with the idea of helping to develop a fairer and more balanced social conversation.

*Speakers and topics might change due to factors beyond the control of conference organizer, the Saint Monica Institute for Education and Evangelization. The organizer will publish any changes as soon as it is confirmed.
